Gemma is the head of Multifamily Investment in the EMEA capital markets team at JLL. The team is a central function that works alongside the sector in-country leads to grow that particular business within JLL and to drive revenues and market share. Her role is particularly client focussed and she has forged strong relationships with senior decision makers across the range of investors.
Since Gemma joined JLL in 2007, Gemma has had many different roles. She spent 3 years in Frankfurt with the German shopping centre investment team, advising clients on sales and acquisitions across Germany and most recently she was a senior director in the EMEA Office capital markets team. In this role she led many pan-European office portfolio sales of scale, including the €1bn Aqua portfolio and many others.
Alongside her roles within capital markets, she is a strong supporter of diversity programmes within JLL and is working with the capital markets teams to improve the number of senior women within the capital markets business specifically, in an effort to reduce the gender pay gap.
Outside of work, Gemma has two little boys who are full of beans. In between pregnancies and recovery, she enjoys cycling, running and playing tennis. She has competed in numerous triathlons with the longest distance being half-ironman. She has also completed 8 marathons and fully intends to get back to triathlons when the babies are a little older. Gemma will be relocating to Berlin with her family in September but continuing her role and will be frequently back in London.
