Laura is a Project Director at Stanhope Plc for projects in design, pre development and delivery. With 15 years’ experience, Laura has enjoyed fast paced career progression since joining the construction industry as a trainee in 2006.
Becoming one of the youngest Chartered Surveyors worldwide with the RICS in 2011, Laura has been awarded the accolades of RICS Young Surveyor of the Year, UCEM Alumni of the Year and WICE Quantity Surveyor of the Year during her career.
Laura is keen to contribute to the development of the construction industry’s next generation. She is an active member of the RICS Women of the Future working group, is an RICS APC Assessor and is a mentor to many in the industry, being recognised as UK Construction Week’s Role Model Class of 2019 and University College of Estate Management’s Associate Fellowship programme in recognition for her work in the industry.
Since joining Stanhope in 2019, Laura has been leading the analysis of project cost data and is tasked with devising Stanhope’s EDI strategy as well as leading the delivery of Warwick Court by Mitsubishi Estates Limited and is part of the British Library delivery team.Although her work life is busy, Laura is Mum to her beautiful daughter. Whilst it has been a challenging year, Laura has appreciated being able to truly embrace flexible working and drop her daughter to and from school. After running the London Marathon in 2014 and never quite facing to put her running shoes on since, Laura has set one of her goals for 2021 to run a half marathon by the end of the year. That is, if she can step away from socialising with friends in the pub come 12th of April.
