Aimee leads Thorntons’ Glasgow office and is a Partner within the firm’s Commercial Real Estate and Real Estate Finance team. Having joined the firm as a trainee solicitor in 2013, she progressed rapidly to Partner, building a strong reputation for her technical expertise, collaborative approach, and ability to deliver practical, results-focused advice.
Aimee has extensive experience advising on a broad range of real estate transactions, with particular strengths in the education, healthcare, hospitality, and retail sectors. She also has specialist expertise in secured lending, regularly supporting both lenders and borrowers on complex funding arrangements.
Passionate about developing talent within the built environment sector, Aimee is a strong advocate for the progression of women and is proud to lead a real estate team made up entirely of women, all actively developing their careers.
Outside of work, Aimee enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, and supporting her favoured football team. She’s partial to a nice spa break, especially if it comes with great food and even better cocktails.
