Amreen joined AECOM (previously Davis Langdon) in 2006 and has 19 years of experience in Cost Management, currently based in the Glasgow office. Amreen started her career in the Birmingham office as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor. Amreen is Director and Cost Management Lead for Scotland. Amreen enjoys working on a range of projects and sectors which include Healthcare, Higher Education, Manufacturing and Commercial all of which impact local communities in some way. Amreen has been involved in many projects from its very initial concept stages to completion. The journey is remarkable, the people you meet and work with along the way is an industry like no other.
Amreen is a chartered member of the RICS and holds an undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying as well as a Masters Degree from Cambridge University in Construction Engineering.
Amreen is passionate about supporting females in the workplace who are looking to take the next step in their career. She is committed to supporting and inspiring the team and other professionals by highlighting there is a place for everyone within the Built Environment regardless of age, race and gender. My ultimate goal is to be a great role model for the industry I work in and my children proving there is no barriers in achieving great things.
Amreen has had some great mentors in her career (and still do!) all of whom have helped shape it and believes in mentoring others in achieving their full career ambitions and goals. Amreen is also in a mentoring programme within AECOM.
As a mother of three, my spare time involves taking my kids to various clubs including my 9 year old daughter who is very passionate about football. Amreen often does STEM sessions within her kids schools raising awareness of the Construction Industry and the possibilities within it.
