
Angel Chen is a Vice President of Development at True North Management, an investment and management company focused on flexible living models that prioritise sustainability and attainability in London and other European capitals.
She was most recently at Get Living, leading on planning, funding and delivery of £250m of new build large scale, mixed-use schemes in and around central London. Previously, Angel worked at Jones Lang LaSalle consulting on development proposals across a wide range of assets, including education, industrial and residential, whilst serving as Co-Chair of the Working Parents Network. She began her career at L&M Development Partners in New York City, where she directed full development cycle projects for affordable housing and regeneration schemes totalling over 1500 residential homes, 100,000 sf of commercial office and retail and 40,000 sf of community space.
Angel has a masters degree in Urban Planning, and is passionate about instilling elements of placemaking, community building, and economic development to all aspects of her projects, be they residential accommodation, retail offer or public realm. She has been a Mentor in the UCEM & DiverseCity Surveyors programme and a Committee Member on ULI Next’s Board and continues to look for opportunities to utilise her platform to ensure other women, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds and ethnic minority individuals to have a voice and impact on the future of the built environment.
In her spare time, she loves travelling, gardening and spending time with her family.
