Angel Chen is a Senior Development Manager at Get Living leading on planning, funding and delivery of new build large scale, mixed-use projects in and around central London. In the creation of new neighbourhoods, she aims to drive value by instilling elements of sustainability, efficiency, placemaking and connection to all aspects of the scheme whether it’s in the residential accommodation, retail offer or the public realm.
Previously, Angel worked at Jones Lang LaSalle consulting on development proposals across a wide range of assets including education, industrial, and residential, while serving as Co-Chair of the Working Parents Network. She began her career at L&M Development Partners in New York City where she directed full development cycle projects for affordable housing and regeneration schemes totalling over 1500 residential homes, 100,000 sf of commercial office and retail and 40,000 sf of community space.
With a background in urban planning, Angel is passionate about the many opportunities and benefits there are to be leveraged in promoting and integrating principles of DEI in the property industry. She uses her platform as a Mentor in the UCEM & DiverseCity Surveyors programme and as a Committee Member on ULI Next’s Board to ensure other women, those from disadvantaged backgrounds and ethnic minority individuals have a voice and an impact on the future of the build environment.
In her spare time, she loves travelling, practising yoga and spending time with her family.
