Caroline is a Development Director at Almacantar. She has over 15 years’ experience in the acquisition, planning, design and delivery of large-scale sustainable mixed-use projects. Having recently delivered The Bryanston, Hyde Park – Almacantar’s flagship residential development at Marble Arch – her team is concentrating on appraising new development opportunities.
Caroline began her career with the Aga Khan University, a private, not-for-profit institution committed to developing human capacities and improving quality of life. Working on projects in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Portugal and the UK, she gained experience across the entire development cycle: acquiring sites, assembling design teams, developing masterplans and delivering university campuses, schools and hospitals. Early on in her 12-year tenure with the University, she discovered her passion for the built environment but also realised she lacked the toolkit to excel. She returned to the US for a master’s degree in Urban Planning before re-joining the organisation.
Caroline loves working as part of a team and strives to create a supportive and positive environment for herself and those around her. Her expertise lies in bringing diverse stakeholders together to unlock the maximum development potential of a site.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Caroline has been based in London since 2013. Aside from the lack of sunshine, has enjoyed settling into British life. Outside of work, Caroline and her husband are busy keeping up with their two young daughters, spending time with friends and family, and playing tennis.
