
Catriona is a portfolio Non-Executive Director and Chair, currently serving on the boards of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Scottish Water Group, the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), NES Fircroft Group, and as Chair of Artus Air Ltd. She contributes to a wide range of Board committees. She also Chairs NPL’s Major Projects and Programmes Advisory Council.
Catriona was honoured with a CBE for services to engineering in the 2024 King’s New Year Honours. She is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, where she has served as Vice President and Trustee.
Previously, Catriona held global executive roles at USA based Jacobs, where she led the Operational Centres of Excellence and served as Chief Safety, Security and Sustainability Officer. Her earlier career as a hydrogeologist and engineer spanned three decades across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, covering energy systems, nuclear lifecycle, water utilities and major infrastructure programmes.
Catriona is a member of Court at the University of Strathclyde. She is also a former Visiting Professor at Newcastle University.
Based in Glasgow, Catriona is married to Tom, they have three grown-up daughters and a very loyal dog, Luna. Originally from the Ayrshire coast, she enjoys escaping back to the seaside and has recently taken up wild swimming.
