Clare is a partner and head of the real estate group at Macfarlanes. She has a wealth of experience advising investors, developers, private clients, family offices and funders on a wide variety of both domestic and cross-border commercial and residential real estate transactions. Her practice has an emphasis on investment, development, leasing, joint ventures and real estate finance. Her sector experience includes prime residential, build-to-rent (BTR) and private rented sector (PRS), student accommodation, offices, retail, industrial, hospitality and leisure – covering every aspect of London’s thriving real estate.
Clare sits on the committee of the City Property Association and is passionate about assisting the association with their aim to champion the City’s built environment – a driver of the capital’s prosperity and essential to growth of the UK economy, which is especially important in the current economic environment.
Clare lives in London and Edinburgh and yet still manages to squeeze the best out of both locations: singing in the Macfarlanes choir midweek and walking on the East Lothian beaches at the weekends.
