Clementine is a Partner of Speirs Major Light Architecture, an independent, international design practice, who use light and darkness to reveal buildings and spaces in ways that are new and unexpected.
For over 20years she has worked on many award-winning projects around the world ranging from lighting masterplans to pocket parks, major civic buildings to small community spaces; from airports and bridges to cathedrals and monuments. She oversees the London team and directs projects from concept through to completion on site.
Clementine studied Architecture at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and after working in lighting design for a few years completed an MSc in Light & Lighting at The Bartlett, UCL, part time while continuing to work. Her particular expertise lies in organisation and communication: to explain, persuade and create cohesion amongst the team, nurturing individual development. She has given numerous talks to the design community and is actively engaged in lighting education.
Born and raised in London, she keeps busy with her two young daughters and tries to find time to stay fit and to fuel her own creativity wherever possible.
