Doris Lam is the Head of UK Development for Chinese Estates Holding, overseeing their UK assets development.
She has over 20 years’ experience in UK Real Estate market having started her career at Farrells and later at MAKE Architects as partner, where she qualified as chartered architect. Prior joining Chinese Estates, she was Project Director at Far East Consortium (FEC) and project manager at CK Hutchison. She has extensive experience working with Asian Overseas investors, combining her understanding of UK Real Estate’s market navigating the different working methods and cultural differences between UK and Asia to deliver sustainable projects where local communities can benefit while meeting investors’ objectives.
She has worked on some significant London developments, from urban regeneration, residential, commercial to hospitality projects including 120 Fleet Street, Hornsey Town Hall, Chelsea Waterfront, Convoys Wharf, Earls Court Masterplan, Greenwich Peninsula Masterplan and Grosvenor Waterside.
With her background in architecture, she combined her passion for good design, honest feedback, and a proactive enabling attitude, giving the consultant team a clear approach that is built on trust. Her position is one of supporting all parties involved to succeed throughout the whole design team. She is passionate about promoting diversity and encouraging younger professionals to reach their career and life goals.
She was the finalist of Asian Women Achievement Awards 2019, under Real Estate, Infrastructure & Construction category. She was also one of the 2020 list of influential women in planning, property and the built environment selected by Newington Communications.
