Jenni Montgomery’s career has seen her support Strategy, Business Development and Marketing in both private partnership and today, a large corporation, as Stantec seeks to leverage its position as a global leader in Water, Energy, Infrastructure and Community Development, to deliver growth in the UK.
Fresh from architectural school, Jenni joined the then 150 person Planning and Design practice, Barton Willmore, to test a career in property consultancy marketing. Over the following 19 years she built a Marketing team and successful brand position for the firm, became the first Business Development Director for the business and subsequently led the firms integration to Stantec, upon its acquisition in 2021. Today she leads Growth Strategy and Business Development for the firms UK Infrastructure team, supporting some 2,000 individuals, in their personal and team BD activities, while guiding an evolving suite of growth strategies and ambitions.
Her particular expertise lies in her broad understanding of the UK property market, the diverse interplay of sectors participants, and services needed to deliver good development. This is underpinned by her drive to consistently use communication and a strategic approach, to empower individuals and collectives, to grow via considered business development that benefits careers and companies.
She lives in East Lothian, near the beach, but travels the UK regularly, and particularly loves meeting new people and understanding what their ‘why?’ is.
