Jessica has always been fascinated by buildings, places and spaces. A chartered development surveyor and Fellow of the RICS, she has led on some of the UK’s biggest regeneration projects.
With proven senior leadership experience, strong communication skills, and bags of energy, she is skilled at successfully promoting complex masterplans through the planning process and into delivery. After a decade in private sector consultancy, she joined Network Rail’s Group Property Development team in 2019. Here, as Principal Development Manager, she is responsible for commercial development strategy, masterplanning, and delivery of regeneration opportunities around key transport hubs UK-wide. She has a particular interest in sustainability and heritage-led schemes, and is also a member of the IHBC.
Jessica is a previous RICS Young Surveyor of the Year award winner, RICS Awards judge, and active APC mentor and assessor. She is passionate about attracting and retaining diverse talent in the built environment industry. After all, how else can we create great places fit for everyone for the future?
Outside work, Jessica enjoys making a difference as a non-exec for a landowning charity and is currently undertaking postgrad research investigating best practice for urban regeneration. When not out with her camera taking arty shots of brutalist buildings, she enjoys cooking up a storm in the kitchen. And when city life gets too much, she loves nothing more than travelling to wild places – from the Lake District to Canada.
