Lydia is a Project Director at Lipton Rogers Developments. She started in the Construction Industry with a degree in Civil Engineering and after 30 years now has experience across both public and private sectors.

Her career began in Structural Engineering before progressing into Project Management and ultimately Development Management, giving her a rare breadth of technical and commercial insight across the full lifecycle of development schemes. 

She has led multidisciplinary teams through every stage of project delivery, from early acquisition and underwriting input through to planning, procurement, construction and tenant engagement. Her portfolio includes commercial, infrastructure and local authority developments, where she has overseen design coordination, planning negotiations, neighbourly matters, contractor procurement, cost planning and quality assurance. Lydia’s approach is grounded in rigorous project and risk management processes, underpinned by a strong focus on commercial metrics and programme integrity.

Lydia has acted as the central conduit between internal teams and senior leadership, ensuring stakeholders remain informed, aligned and confident in the project direction. She maintains clear control of the project brief, fielding internal and external queries. Her experience also extends to marketing and tenant‑facing presentations, supporting leasing strategies and shaping the narrative around development value.

Originally from South Africa she moved to the UK in the 1980’s and has make the UK her home since then. She loves the mountains and spends as much time as possible at high altitude.
