Mareike is part of BentallGreenOak‘s (BGO) capital raising and investor relations team, responsible for all German-speaking investors. BGO is a leading, global real estate investment management advisor and provider of real estate services. Mareike manages the entire capital raising process from producing marketing materials, investor outreach and conducting due diligence to relationship management with existing investors.
Prior to joining BGO Mareike worked for PIA Pontis a Placement Agent and Structuring Advisor for primary North American Boutique Real Estate Managers looking to market their products in Germany. Joining the company shortly after its founding, Mareike was responsible for driving sales, developing and maintaining long-lasting relationships with investment decision makers at leading institutional investors.
Mareike’s way into the world of Real Estate was unconventional and allowed her to gain valuable experiences in business development across different industries. Her career started as a marketing manager for German fine wine. She then led the investor relations efforts for DACH and Nordics for institutional networking events, a role that had her move to London and saw her building and maintaining a wide network among European Institutional Investors and Asset Managers.
Mareike has always enjoyed working in client facing roles, and equally enjoys cultivating good relationships with her colleagues across different teams, from acquisitions, to legal and management. She recognises that strong connections and teamwork are necessary in order to raise capital and to help grow the business. Mareike is excited to be part of Mentoring Circle and join an inspiring network of women working in Real Estate.
While travelling is (usually) a big part of Mareike’s role at BGO, she also likes to travel and explore new places in her spare time. As she is currently based in Munich, she spends her weekends hiking in the Alps. She was last able to combine her passion for hiking and travelling when climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in early 2020.
