Megan Waller is Head of Research and Innovation Operations at BRE Group. BRE’s purpose is to contribute to a thriving and sustainable world by developing science-led solutions to built environment challenges, with a vision to be the world-leading innovation, science, and data hub for the built environment.
Megan is responsible for both commercial and operational oversight of the Research and Innovation division, focusing on driving operational excellence. This includes programme management of our flagship contracts for Government, as well as delivering new services, data solutions and driving research opportunities to further BRE’s position as a centre of excellence for research in the built environment.
Previously at BRE, Megan led a team of 55 multi-disciplinary science professionals and was responsible for the data, insights, and social research consultancy services across both the domestic and non-domestic buildings sector. Whilst overseeing BRE’s leading work on energy modelling across the UK and internationally; the development and delivery of UK national housing surveys, fuel poverty statistics, and the provision of data-drive insights for local government through dwelling-level stock modelling products.
Megan is passionate about the built environment, with a background in healthcare and housing – focusing on opportunities to improve the built environment and addressing the challenges faced both now and in the future. Megan enjoys a busy family life and enjoys holidaying anywhere near a forest or coastline!
