Melani has over two decades of experience in the construction and real estate industry. With a background in recruitment and talent acquisition, her strengths are in connecting people and building enduring, strategic partnerships. Melani set up her own business in 2016 providing recruitment expertise for consulting clients within the cost and project management sectors both in London and on an international scale, utilising her professional network in Australia having helped manage a recruitment business there where she previously lived for almost 10 years.
In 2022, Melani sought to diversify her skills and moved back inhouse to join MGAC, one of her global clients at the time, as Director of Talent. This role enabled her to enjoy a broad scope of responsibility as part of the UK leadership team, diversifying into HR at a strategic level to complement her recruitment background.
More recently, she further expanded her horizons and joined ADP Consulting, a global engineering firm with a newly established London office. Melani’s role there as Head of Growth is focused on bringing people and strategy together to directly impact global growth, leading client engagement initiatives, leveraging existing client connections whilst fostering new partnerships, as well as growing the team and raising the company profile in the UK market.
Guiding people in their career and assisting them to navigate their professional path is at the heart of Melani’s profession. Her network in the construction consulting market within London is extensive and she enjoys joining the dots and bringing people together. Melani can offer great knowledge around building connections, networking, personal branding and how to put yourself out there. Melani is a working mum to 2 young daughters and feels passionately about setting women up for success in their careers. She has trained and mentored many junior professionals in the past and takes pleasure in seeing individuals thrive and flourish in the right environment.
