Nicola is a Director at CBRE in their property Management team with over 13 years experience. She works on a portfolio of retail parks, ensuring that colleagues are aligned across the team, encouraging a consistent approach to management, whilst sharing retail expertise and coordinating initiatives with the wider team. Prior to this Nicola was overseeing two well regarded UK shopping centres, and co-ordinated a portfolio of 49 properties for a large UK REIT. When at Workman Retail she managed shopping centres and retail parks, and was involved in the opening of Bond Street shopping centre in Chelmsford. Consolidating her retail experience, she has been a REVO Purple Apple Judge for three years. She also sits on the RICS Editorial Board discussing topical articles for the Commercial Property Journal.
Nicola is very vocal about her two major passions – sustainability and the future generation of Surveyors.
Nicola was involved with RICS Matrics for 10 years – serving as the London Chair in 2013, and then moving onto the UK Board. More recently, she has been involved in the CBRE Returnship Scheme and the CBRE Next Generation Scheme.
In 2017 she was awarded the Young Surveyor of the Year Award – Asset & Facilities Management Class for environmental projects she led at certain retail assets. In 2018 she went on to win the UCEM Property Alumni Award and in 2019 was appointed one of the first 12 Associate Fellows of UCEM. Through this role her passion shines through as she continues to act as an advocate and ambassador for the RICS, the built environment and incoming surveyors. At CBRE Nicola sits on the Family Network Board and the All Greens Sustainability Board.
Outside of work she enjoys skiing, cooking and looking after her 3 children.
She would describe herself in these words – mother, musician, driven, ambitious, fun
