
With over 20 years’ experience in property development Nicola has overseen the design, planning and delivery of a variety of large-scale development projects across residential, workplace and retail uses both in the UK and abroad.
Nicola joined Ballymore in 2017 as a Projects Director leading major residential and mixed-use development schemes in London with over 7,500 residential homes and co-living studios. In Newham, she has overseen the planning and delivery of Royal Wharf and Deanston Wharf (Riverscape) delivering over 4,100 homes and has recently submitted two further planning applications for another 3,500 homes at Knights Road and UNEX. Other mixed-use projects include the Bishopsgate Goodsyard, a major redevelopment scheme north of the City comprising 1.4m sqft office space, 100,000sqft of retail space and a hotel and the Camley Street project in Camden, where she is working in partnership with Camden’s Investment Programme and life-science developer Lateral on the planning of a residential and Science & Technology campus.
Prior to joining Ballymore, Nicola worked for Developer Labtech in Camden where she was responsible for the company’s acquisitions and planning projects including Hawley Wharf and 101 Camley Street, two major mixed-use schemes in Camden. She also worked on the group’s iconic Camden Market and co-working assets with the focus on creating a physical premium experience and destination supporting the company’s e-commerce business and online platform.
Between 2004 and 2014, Nicola worked as an Associate at Allies & Morrison Architects where she worked on the design and planning of large-scale, mixed-use development projects in the UK like the redevelopment project at Kings Cross, and on new towns and town centre extensions in the Netherlands, Abu Dhabi and Doha.
Nicola holds a master’s degree in architecture and urban planning from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany and an Executive MBA from Henley Business School. She moved to London in 2004 as a masterplan architect to support Allies and Morrison and a consortium of architects and planners to prepare the Bid Document for the 2012 Olympic Games.
