Rebecca is the co-founder and CEO of Artus Air Ltd, a fast growth clean tech company hell bent on reducing the amount of carbon emitted by air conditioning globally. Since the first installation into WeWork, they have sold across the UK and internationally into buildings occupied by the likes of Blackrock and Latham and Watkins.

Previously Rebecca spent 17 years with Arup and co-founded their venture fund, an internal fund set up to invest in colleagues’ commercial ideas around sustainable solutions in the built environment. She took 8 products to market with this model. Working for Ford Motor Company and Aston Martin, she began her career in the automotive industry where she got her lasting awe of the impact of good industrial Design for Manufacture and Assembly on outcomes.

Rebecca’s MA in Industrial Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art/ Imperial College kick started her journey from intrapreneur to entrepreneur.

She is driven by seeing exciting new technical solutions for common pain-points benefit a wide audience, resulting in lower carbon, better user outcomes and sustainable commercial success. She gets up every morning to go to work because her team give her immense inspiration and energy and work hard together whilst knowing how to have fun.

Rebecca lives in Edinburgh, with her husband and 3 kids, aged 9 to 14, who enable her to be a CEO by always telling her to ‘go for it’. She gets her headspace from bike packing in the Scottish wilderness and sailing her lazer 3000.
