Sam is a transformation leader with over 20 years’ experience driving inclusive growth, innovation, and collaboration across Scotland and the UK. Sam currently leads Invest Glasgow and is the Inward Investment Manager for Glasgow City Council – driving ambitious regional growth investment and development opportunities to the region.
Her career spans major investment and infrastructure programmes such as the £100m Technology & Innovation Centre at Strathclyde, where she discovered her passion for connecting people, purpose, and place to create lasting impact.
Sam then founded her own consultancy, where she partnered with universities, government, and industry to turn shared ambition into action—building partnerships that deliver meaningful, sustainable outcomes. A natural connector and catalyst, Sam thrives on turning ambition into action—bringing clarity, confidence and momentum to the table, and helping teams push beyond their comfort zones, cutting through complexity, turning vision into action.
Sam is a champion for women’s advancement and advocate for women’s leadership, she previously chaired a charity supporting young homeless women who suffered sexual abuse and has a deep commitment to inclusion, confidence-building, and creating opportunities that enable women to thrive. Sam loves helping others find their voice and step into their power and strongly believes that when women support women, extraordinary things happen—and that true leadership is rooted in courage, connection, and purpose.
Sam loves adventure and has just returned from the Women’s Partnership Challenge in Malawi, which combined travel with volunteering and social impact. In her spare time Sam loves to run, train, explore outdoors, eat lovely food and enjoy nice wine.
