Tanya is a director at Brotherton Real Estate, a capital advisory business that provides expert advice on the sourcing, structuring and execution of debt and equity financing for its clients who are looking to acquire, develop or refinance property in the UK and across Europe.

Tanya is a qualified real estate lawyer and worked in practice for 5 years at a central London law firm where she advised public and private sector clients on their portfolios, and assisted with offering strategic advice on major infrastructure and regeneration projects including various city centre regenerations, HS2 and Crossrail. She then moved in-house as General Counsel to a residential developer where she oversaw the legal aspects of all sides of the business including; the acquisition due diligence, planning process, finance arrangements, construction contracts/appointments and corporate governance, leaving to join Brotherton in 2017.

Tanya is passionate about playing her part in helping the next generation of women realise their professional ambitions within the real estate sector. Frequently the ‘only woman in the meeting room’ she is adamant changes needs to happen within the industry and believes building and developing tangible female networks is key.

Mother to a young son, and an avid gym and DIYer, Tanya takes on a considerably scruffier appearance at the weekends.
